Mr. Mernie David will speak on his Mi'kmaw ancestry |
THE "MY STORY" SERIES
The first Sunday of each month we are inviting special guests to come to share their stories and relive history through their own unique perspective.
- Mr. Bernie David
Mingling and intermarriage of the Mi’kmaw Indians and the Acadians of Nova Scotia forever linked their history. As the Acadians were deported from the area and moved south many were Mi’kmaw decendants. In 2009, Bernie David became aware of his connec-tion to the Mi’kmaw. Since that time he has immersed himself in learning about his heritage. He comes to share the story of his journey with us.
