The Museums in Cassidy Park; The Pioneer Museum and the Museum of Native American Museum, exhibited artifacts and interpretive materials and programs relevant to the history of the City of Bogalusa, Louisiana and its surrounding communities.

The museums were set in Cassidy Park, however the devastating floods in March 2016 inundated both museums.  We are currently housed in a temporary location at 750 Avenue F.  The progress we have made shows the resiliency of our community and would not be possible without the support of friends, members, volunteers and donors.  We continue to exhibit artifacts and interpretive materials in our new location as well as in offsite venues.

We also welcome groups by appointment.

Our Palmetto hut, constructed by Tom "Strong Buffalo" Varnado was one of many items lost during the March floods. It is typical of the type of dwellings used in this area by Native Americans.
